O.T.... NOT my first rodeo

Many years ago, I rode the (mechanical) bull at Gilley's. Worst episode of back problems I ever had. It only took one ride to learn not to do that again!!

My first rodeo was on the ranch at 6 years old. I tried to head off a 2000 bull with a Shetland pony. Every rodeo after that was thought out much better.

Reminds me of a Red Power Round Up several years ago, it rained so much before the show that trucks had to stay on the roadway. Getting ready to leave I parked along the edge of the road, set out my ramps, and walked the 40 or so yards to get my narrow front Farmall H. When I got back a truck was parked about 8 feet from the ends of my ramps and the driver was standing there laughing at the fact I would have to wait for him to load. I drove in between his truck and the ramps, and just as my right wheel reached the right ramp I jammed the right brake and cut the front wheels hard. The right rear wheel pivoted in place as the front wheels went up the left ramp and reached the trailer just as they got to the inside edge of the ramp, and I then proceeded to drive on up the ramps onto the trailer. When I got off and looked back the smart-aleck driver was staring at me with his mouth open, guess he had never seen that before. I just said, "[b:d5ff44ec9f][size=18:d5ff44ec9f]That ain't my first time on that tractor![/size:d5ff44ec9f][/b:d5ff44ec9f] and it wasn't, I was raised on that tractor. My Dad had farmed with it for 45 years, and I had been on it since I was big enough to slide off the seat and reach the clutch and brake. If you decide to load one that way at a show, I suggest you practice at home with no audience first, I am still more comfortable using 3 ramps.

Well dog gone it John, you sure did show that fella. I can't follow your worded description so maybe you
could post a video when you get a minute. Should be no problem since it wouldn't be your first time on the
tractor ...... LOL !!!

Well dog gone it, Crazy Horse! You sure did show that John fellow! You showed the rest of us, too! What you showed us, and have been showing us for some time, is that you can't come on here and make a constructive comment! All you do is make snide remarks! Obviously, you feel some deep seated need to show how smart you are! Well, your comment about not being able to follow John's well worded post shows everyone here just how smart you really are! Unfortunately, for you, you don't have a lot of smarts to show!

I do hope you have a good evening!

I could picture the whole episode right In my head . Ain?t my first day on the tractor 🚜 either . Stand on the brake and she?ll fit into a pretty tight spot . What I can?t see is how somebody at a tractor show could be so ignorant

JWM ..... I think you might be exaggerating at least a bit but whatever, it is a discussion forum after all so you're entitled to your opinion like everyone else. Perhaps the best way to deal with it is to not read posts or replies that you know might get your blood pressure up.
