After the furnace issues earlier, and because the weather altho warm temps wise, is damp and windy so cold to work in. So I just wasn't all that ambitious this weekend. My brother did stop by and dropped off a mower he wanted to sell. That will make mowing a lot better since I was using a push mower. Lol. It's a 220 model from the early 70's and has a 10hp Kohler and a 48" deck, also has a snow blower and sleeve hitch and plow. The plow isn't here yet.

I did get time to bring home my grinder/mixer. It's in real nice shape and has had little use. It's one of my favorites in my collection.

There are still a few things to bring home yet, 2 combines, a couple cultivators and such, but I'll probly wait for warm weather since some is froze to the ground. Will likely start working on the sheds and house again tho.
Grinding oats

Lawn tractor looks like new! I worked on AC [Simplicity] lawn tractors in the early 70's. They were just switching from B&S to Kohler. The B&S had the Delco starter/generator. The Kohler had a permanent magnet/bendix type starter.
It's interesting that your Kohler has the starter/generator. 48" is a lot for 10 HP.
Did Case make the grinder/mixer?

I haven't checked the serial number, but the mower is about a 1970 model. Yes 10hp is small, but then that Kohler puts out big horses compared to more modern engines. Lol. The grinder/mixer is made by Helix for case. Case bought several things from them including the grinder, those little auger wagons that are quite popular, and silage boxes. There may have been more that I'm not aware of as well.

Not to commandeer the thread, but in the pictures where your barn is exposed, I see framing inside the actual structural parts of the walls. Does that come with normal construction in Northern climates and purpose is to allow for insulation batting and some sort of surface covering material?

It is not normal for a pole shed, but one of the previous tenants had visions of making that an auto repair shop and started the framing for insulation and lining. It is also wired all the way around and has good lighting. Maybe some day I'll Finnish that.
