Parts washer

Getting tired of replacing the pump in my Clarke 20 gallon parts washer. I use solvent (mineral spirits), I added a drain the the washer so I could pour the cleaner back into the bucket to prevent it all from evaporating.

Do you all have an opinion on a good replacement? Or atleast a replacement pump that is solvent safe?

I used the old hydraulic pump off of an Oliver 535 combine and used a spin on filter on the inlet side. It was in my engine shop I ran from 85 to 92 and I still
have it. The pump is still on there and it still works. Doesn't work as hard now.

I used a belt drive to gear it down and the weight of the motor tensions the belt.

I don't think you are going to find a "cheap" parts washer or a replacement pump for such that is rated for use in "mineral spirits", and as such is "explosion proof" as REAL parts washers are.

If you must use solvents/mineral spirits in a unit not approved for such use, continue at your own risk, IMHO.
