The John Deere 420c

Maybe the pictures will work this time . Track pad bolts were tight had to use a cheater pipe on the John Deere 3/4 ratchet . I guess pictures aren?t worth messing with

I had what I call the branding torch on the pin for about 20 minutes before it finally came apart

I envy you, I?ve always wanted an old Deere crawler, every once in a while I?ll see one for sale on Craigslist in my area but folks still want $4000+ for one that?s wore slam out or doesn?t run at all

That?s what I had this one priced at 4500$ that?s my I do not not want to sell it price . It was my grandpas and it was first tractor

You probably already know this, but there's a dowel pin between the 1st and 2nd bolts on the upper left (rear) side of the housing in the third picture. On the left side of the tractor, the dowel pin is in the same place, but between the 1st and 2nd bolts on the left (front) side. They used the same casting on both sides. I've seen the casting broken around the dowel pin from rough treatment.

Yes . I have the service manual and it shows the dowels. Going to make the tool to lift off the final drive sometime this weekk
