I used to dream of that tractor all day and all night . I
got a John Deere tractor book for my birthday and
on the very last page of volume one there was a
picturd of that plow and that was it . I had to wait a
year or so for the second volume to be printed
before I could learn all about that tractor and plow

I had some original literature on those way back when,but somebody did some house cleaning and threw a whole bunch of that stuff away.

I have a JD booklet that covers 1918 through 1976. I was in a dealer getting parts for my H and they had a stack of booklets on the counter, $3.00 each. That was the 8010, Deere's first articulated tractor, 1959-1964. Over 200 hp running a 6-71 Detroit.

That's the plow wheel you're mistaking for the right rear tractor rim.

I saw that unit demoed near Melrose, MN in the early 60s, at a national plowing match.
