Rare Oliver?

Pretty sure I have seen at least one in my life, at least a offset Oliver but not sure it was a supper. Notice that one has an alternator , not sure that is factory. Seems pricy but I guess for a pure Oliver collector he might have to look a few days to find another that nice.

One of the "holy grail" tractors that Oliver lovers try to get. The price isn't worth it (to me), but that's what a lot of them go for.
I seem to recall that some ol' boy on the east coast is buying all of them up so that the price rises even higher....

Mecum just sold a restored one for 8000. One sold near me in ohio three weeks ago. It was a pretty good amature restoration for 7800.

I thought they had made more of them than that, Every once in a while will see them at shows. Small show back in I think 17 had either 3 or 4 of them. And there was no 44, just the Super 44 and then the 440 that was also at that show.

There used to be 2 of them close by, one in Madison County and 1 in Warren county Iowa. They are defiantly a handy little unit.

The seller is definitely working to move it out, he listed it here in out local CL- SWMI. That's over 900 miles on a trailer.

It's no joke. Like's already been said, the Holy grail. The only thing more rare is the 440,or possibly the 500 gas. It's hard to nail down an actual number on the gas 500.

I forget what this one brought on an auction in southern Michigan back in January, seems like it was in the low four thousand dollar range.

I owned several S44 and 440 tractors back in the 80's seems most of them were sold in VA/NC tobacco growing areas back then they could be had for around a thousand$ after tobacco started going downhill. That tractor is missing some parts that'd make it worth that kind of money in my opinion.I've seen better examples for sale/sell in the last few years for under $10K.
The 440 is a more sought after tractor less built and very few around with 100% 440 parts.Rarity doesn't always translate into a high price, gotta be someone that wants to shell
out the big bucks that wants one.I have a Cockshutt 20 "Little Chief" one row offset version of the 20 less then 10 known to exist doubt it would bring that kind of money.

I read that ad just a few days ago. As Kefective said,it's advertised way up here. The ad says he had the complete cultivator, just needs new shovels. They've come down in value a little in the last few years. Not too long ago there were a few sold north of fifteen thousand.
