oil filter nipple Ford

I have a Ford 2110 that I ripped the oil filter off of destroying the nipple the oil filter threads onto. I cannot find the oil filter mount anywhere. The whole assembly is aluminum. I figure I can machine an aluminum nipple, out the old nipple , and TIG in the new one. The problem is I cannot figure out the thread size for the filter. I managed to get an O.D. 1/2" flare fitting to thread in. I do not know what this thread size/pitch is to get a die to make a nipple. The filter on the tractor is a New Holland 300 Dual 86546614

Thanks for your help and ideas.

I also think the mount from a 1600 might work but it does not have the oil pressure sending unit on it.

o to WIX filter web site & find the cross referenced filter & their specification will give the thread specifications.

Checked tractor data and did not find a 2110 but 1910 is a Japan unit with a Shibaura engine , my thought would be you have a metric oil filter. On the Kubota bases the nipple screws out . Have plenty of junk engines if I can determine whet your base is. 1/2 inch thread should have been a little loose in your base.

You, Sir, are a steely eyed genius!

3/4-16 thread Now if I could find an aluminum nipple in that size instead of machining one, all will be right in the world.

If you have a 2110 Shibaura compact then the 86546614 is the incorrect filter, you should be using an 86546619. I checked Wix, Hastings, Baldwin, and Fleetguard none show a cross to the 86546619. Using the correct filter is important due to differing bypass valve ratings, and if they have an anti drainback valve or not. Have you tried Weavers, or West Kentucky Tractor parts for a salvage part?

All Ford / New Holland compact diesel tractors were built by Shibaura from the first 1000 up till the advent of the Korean sourced units in 2008 or so. The larger TC35-TC45 were assembled in Georgia with the cast iron (engine, trans, rear end) still comming from Shibaura but the rest US sourced and final assembled.
