Been a long harvest

Link worked for me. Seems to be wide spread misery with harvest this year. Not many beans waiting here in South Central Ontario, but many many acres of corn, with fields saturated from melted snow and rain. And now everything is covered with snow again from yesterday and overnight snow fall. Mould is becoming a problem. Just a tough year.

I think everyone will be glad to see 2019. We had a month of rain at silo filling and add in corn with tar spot that caused it to fall down along with beans that molded in the pods and mud and wet spots. We did get done and even got corn stalks baled and fall tillage done. I was so tired of it that I did not even wash the combine. Just pulled it in the shed. I will deal with it next year. I am just a small operator and can not imagine how the bto's dealt with it all this fall. Tom

Sure was. We got done Friday after Thanksgiving. Cutting beans in snow is no fun since if it is not cold enough the snow will just freeze on the walkers and shoe.

I thought everybody was done in Northern Illinois, haven't seen a combine go by in a week until early this morning when a big Deere on tracks followed by a big Deere tractor and cart on tracks came past.

yesterday as I was going to Freeport Il I meant a Class combine on track followed by 3 Challenger tractors on tracks pulling grain carts also on tracks heading north behind them where several semis with grain trailers

I?m sure glad to be done. I?ve never been in so much mud. One field looks like I plowed it - I did, it was just with the 9500 with RWA. Boy oh boy. I finished last Saturday at 10 pm. Sunday we got a blizzard. I still have loaded trucks in sheds with doors I can?t get open.

I was very fortunate. My yields were way better than I figured and I didn?t have any purple beans.
