I have found a White 6045 I am interested in but can't seem to find much information on the brand online. The fact that they don't seem to be popular machines worries me. What is the reliability like? I think it's got a Perkins. Not sure of the year but that model was made from '96-99. Does anyone have thoughts on these machines? The one in question is a 4wd with White 658 loader, quick attach bucket, 2500 hrs, dual remotes, looks pretty clean, asking $7k.

I think the popularity just had to do with the failure of the White brand to be honest. They were a 45 horse low utility built by SAME,Lamborghini and Hurlimann in Italy. They had a 3 cylinder Lamborghini engine. SAME still claims to be the largest tractor manufacturer in the world. Not necessarily the largest brand name,but they build tractors for every brand,so take it for what it's worth. The tractor's a SAME,that's what it all boils down to.
There is a reason it is cheap and not cheap enough as far as I am concerned. Parts are pretty much a crap shoot , sometimes you can and sometimes you cannot. Might need a friend in Italy. As R says Same builds a lot of tractors for Italy and that part of the world.
Bet you never saw one of these. It's a SAME built Oliver. They were built for the European market and some went to South America if memory serves me right. None were supposed to be sent to North America,but it's rumored that a few of them are here. I'd sure like to come across one.
They would have to pay me to take it. There are NO aftermarket engine parts for those SLH engines, customer with a 6105 and we tried for almost a year to find stuff, even using a couple Europe based suppliers. He ended up having to get everything through AGCO and even they couldn't get everything. Way, way better off to find a 1365, or 2-60 even if you had to throw some money at it. Those Fiat tractors were not only built in Italy for White, but under licence by several other builders so parts are everywhere in the after market just like for the 3,4,5000 series Fords.
Harbor freight is probably the largest tool retailer in the world doesn?t make em any good . Friend bought a 130 hp same paid 800$ Everything on that tractor electronic more circuit boards on that poS than a space shuttle. He finally figured out what it was so cheap . Tractor isn?t 20 years old and it?s junk already
