Looking at getting a gator type vehicle for the Farm. The new side by sides are too pricey for our budget. Locally a Cub Cadet 6x4 Big Country is on auction in a few weeks. Has some damage to the plastics but runs, tires are good. Might be had for short money. Anyone have one? Good or bad?

Just a note, plastic body parts are $$$ for both these and the older Deere gators, neighbor has a Big Country, the Honda seems very prone to plug fouling
on one cylinder, when he just pokes around the house, but the Deere were the same way. They are tough old things, and not near as
complicated as the new toys are, if you can get it cheap I?d go for it, if tire are slick, figure price into your plans 4 drives or 6 new can be VERY
expensive

I was looking on Craigslist for a used 4x4 gator for months before I found what I wanted. One observation I made was the 6x4 gators did not sell well, even with low prices. I guess most people are looking for a "toy" rather than a work gator.

My neighbor had a 6x4 gator for farm work. They run it on pavement much of the time. Their rear tires wore quickly due to making turns on pavement (IMO). The back 4 wheels get into a bind when making turns. Shouldn't be a problem in fields. Otherwise, it was a good machine.

I have a cub cadet big country. It has been very reliable. I had to change the drive belt this year otherwise just normal maintenance. It
has a yamaha engine.

A small chunk of a fender is missing which I could live with. I figured tired would be expensive. These from the pictures look like they have plenty of life. I haven’t had a chance to go view in person yet.
