Tee your correct. The 60 and 70 series 4wd tractors are just dead rugged/dependable tractors.

The older JD 4wd on the right in your picture, does it have a Kinze kit in it???

Need to step up to the 8960 and get you a real motor! Like JD ask what's in the older deere?

8630 with the Kinze kit--855 Cummins big cam. It is my Son's. When I retired we set prices on the machinery and he chose the 8630. No fluid-no weights and I think it is set at 350 hp. We pull the same thing the 8760 pulls. He still runs the old 13 shank Glencoe soil savers-both pull them pretty easy. We don't over glue it to the ground.---Tee

When they first came out I had a 7020 and wanted a 8760 SO bad but the $$$$ were not there so the next few years as we got more land we ran older Steigers. The last one was a Cougar 1000-same as a 9150-nice tractor but not a Deere. The dealer in Minn.-Majestics-sp ??? where I bought it had a 8760 traded in from a older guy so I jumped at the chance to finally have a 8760. He gave me a good deal. It has been a very good tractor.---Tee

Nothing wrong with a little corn fed engineering! My brillon disc chisle had a row of cultivator sweep that fold down for use when spring plowing.
