560D voltage regulator

I have a 560 Ser#19140A which I think means its a 1959. Wonderful old gal and I like to keep it current as far as replacing parts that are getting worn or suspect. Time has come to replace the voltage regulator but I'm seeing that mine is a 4 terminal unit and those seem to be listed for a "560 Industrial" and mine doesn't seem to be anything other than a usual farm tractor painted red and white. Since the wires are there I suppose I'll have to get the 4 terminal regulator but I'm wondering why it has an 'industrial ' regulator on it. Was this some sort of option back in the day for these machines? To the best of my knowledge I'm the second owner and for the past 60 years it's wiring has remained as it came to the farm.

Diagram I have of a 560 Farmall shows a 4 terminal regulator. Finding a 4 terminal regulator should not be difficult, but finding one that will last may be another story.

If it were mine I would change it to a Delco or Hitachi 3 wire internal regulated alternator.

Finding a new voltage regulator that will
hold up will be a challenge. They seem to
be junk. Make sure you get one with a
warranty. You may need it. I like to leave
my tractor stock looking, but some choose
to modernize with an alternator. You can
also buy an alternator that lioks like a
generator from Speedway.
