Hood removal

Its a garden tractor.
I'm not familiar with, but most just pull up from the cowl.

Some makes use magnets at the cowl to hold it down.
Have you tried?

On some you do- bought a 724 JD mower, asked the salesman where the battery was...wasn"t visible with the hood open. Way down in front...had to follow the cable to find it!

I don't know about an x595 but if it's like my 325 the hood tips forward. Unclip the headlights and the hood pivots on two lugs that are flat on two sides. Line the flat spots up with the open C part of the bracket they are in and the hood can be pulled forward and off. If you open the hood all the way it's to far. It's about 3/4 the way open. Like I said I don't know if the two are the same but on mine I don't have to take the hood off to replace a battery either.

Tilt hood forward just as opening it up. Disconnect the wires going to the headlights then just list up on the hood, it will just lift off.

Thanks I'll try that, the battery is down in the front and you need to remove hood to reach battery and terminals to replace battery, it uses a group 51 battery which is a decent size battery
Thanks again

Onan made a generator housing. You had to remove the whole right side door assembly. To check or change the batteries. Called it an anti theft device.
