Kerosene heater

Some guys run straight #2 and do not have issues. The fumes give me a splitting head ache in minutes. I spend the money and run straight #1 in my heaters.

I run straight number 2 in mine but I?ve learned one thing not to run power service or stanadyne through em because that stinks bad

After reading the replys there is another choice. I have quite a few antique kerosene lamps that I just love to use. The best stuff to use is at Lowes and depot. This is a synthetic kerosene. No smell, no stink, no soot, and it will evaporated totally clean and leave no residual at all. The cost for this stuff is just a little more than what junky kero is going for. If you are not going through fuel for your heater like water then this is a good choice. Have two or three kerosene lamps going just for fun and just NO stink at all. My mom used to hate the stink of kerosene. Same deal as you. I cleaned their emergency lanterns with new wicks and then put this stuff in. After that, not a peep. She was happy.
