How bad was your day?

An inspection of the tie rods indicated that I needed both an inner and an outer one replaced. I elected to have all 4 replaced. I told them I would be back at 3:30. I
went to my ex-wife's house an put plastic over two windows, while she was gone. At 3:20 she comes home with my nephew. He is a tow truck driver for his Dad. SHE had
totaled her third vehicle in 10 years. That isn't the worst. She slipped an fell, and of course, hit the back of her head on the ground. She has 4 probes in her brain and
they may not have taken the impact very well. She was dizzy and I noticed that her arm was shaking. The probes are supposed to control the shaking and so that is probably
a sign of a very serious problem. Between her and my Dad, they have me freaked about getting older.
They gave me the old tie rods and I don't think they needed to replace either of the inner ones. Which means that I should only have paid about $125 instead of $300.The
car still has a popping and snapping sound during left turns. I will thread lightly when I talk to them.

I second. Only thing if 4X4 you can have hub and bearing problems. If conventional then c/v possible.

Car? Front wheel drive? Left turn? Most likely near or at full turn? If so like the others said CV joint. The other side with be just the on right turns.

Bad day? Yea we all have them, mine came in 5 this time. Had to come off the pain meds because of surgery on Monday.

I hope you have better luck with your front end work than I did. I had that done the first week of September and the end of September the engine got jealous and blew a head gasket. Spent most of the last six weeks with an engine overhaul.

My business accounting server crashed last night, so spent most of the day rebuilding it, and I was delinquent on backing it up.

Well... got home from on the road last night around 5:00. The well pressure was around 20 psi. A trip to fleet and a new pressure switch didn?t rectify the situation.... This morning around 5:00 (about the time I check tractor pictures from KCM), the Mrs. got up to take a shower. So far, not so good..... at 6:15 when It was Jr.?s turn he turned on the bathroom light to take a shower for school and we lost all power.? Neighbors? lights were on, but our meter was blank. A call to the Co-oP and a quick response to flip the fuse at the transformer revealed that the problem was on our side of the meter. By 8:30 we had exhausted 1/2 the well outfits in the 3 county area, but had a crew enroute and a favor called in from a fellow tractor enthusiast/ electrician. By 10:00 the welll pump was changed out and while the well truck was leaving the electrician was arriving. A survey of the situation and some banter about the meter disconnect that was built before the Mayflower and we concluded that the trencher was the right tool to start the job. Luckily he has his carbide frost chain on his machine and after chewing through 10? of frost we found the breaks. So by 3:30 this afternoon after 10 hours of trouble shooting and digging deep into my pockets we now can wash our hands and cook a casserole for our bellies.

12 inches of wet snow, cleaned up at home, my mom's place, then shoveled out the house we are building, put up some 2x12 Floor joists. Still have to clean up my shop and storage area.
