Agreed. Nobody is done with beans and I have quite a ways to go myself. The stress is not doing me any good.

The ground is white here but not deep enough to shovel yet. Has warmed up to almost 30 degrees today and was thinking of taking the Merc out for a spin. But maybe not. Looking back at this pic from last November, I see the snow was a little sticky even at 27 degrees. I don't want to have to clean all that sticky snow off the underside of the car before it goes back in the shed.

Rusty6's yard could be next door to ours. We've got maybe a hair more than what appears in the photo.

It's not unusual for us to have the snow this time of year, but is way too soon for the sub-zero temps just yet. Tomorrow is supposed to be upper 30's. Great! Will be tracking in a slushy mess!

Front passed through here this morning with strong winds.
Winds have slowed down and the skies have cleared. It's gonna be a cold night.
Weathermen have been searching the history books. This is the earliest freeze in November.

Now cut that out! I still have heifers on pasture at the other farm, of coarse being fed hay. Manure to spread, ground to plough, and over 100 bales of grass hay sitting out still to deliver. Don?t even want to think about Christmas yet.

Yeah, just under half the corn here is still out. There was a lot of VOM infected fields in this area, so not sure if guys are waiting for the crop insurance adjuster or drier weather. The soys that are still out.....??
Hope your weather co operates.
Ben

By tonight if all goes wellwe should be under a hundred acres of beans left. Hard to do with them at 18-20 moisture and rain about 3 days a week. Been cutting and binning with fans nonstop. hoping to get some moisture out before shipping on contracts. 20 % beans is 30 cents dock just for drying.
