Been snowing off and on for days. The
weather man keeps saying it's going to
quit, but it keeps coming.

Doing the same thing here this morning. Started about seven last night and looks to be around four inches on the ground at seven a.m. Had things I wanted to do outside today.

Yea Jon, up here too, my shed project sure is slow, I signed and sent in a partial check, on Sept 1rst, and was assured they would start on mine Oct 10th. Wellll, yea we got rain, but site was dry, they were behind at other projects and didn't say that. Even thou I have it down on paper, I guess I have to do one thing,,,,, wait.

I love those round roof barns the swedes an Norwegians built.

Shop cleaning and organizing day for me.

Yep. Seems like it went from summer, to rain forest rains, to winter in a matter of days. Skipped fall almost completely it seems........

Yup, I woke up about 5:00 this morning to the sound of the town's loader loading the plow trucks with sand. The town barn is across the road from us. Shortly after, I heard the rumble of the plow going by the house. I just pulled the covers up further and went back to sleep.

Russ from MN,
Nobody here cares about your darned Vikings! Top of their division blah, blah, blah. No rain here so I have to cut wood before the Lion's game. I haven't noodled it out yet but we should be able to take ourselves out of play-off contention today and even a wild card possibility by next week.

Fifty year Lion's fan....or is it just dementia kicking in?

This time of year I'm reminded of a poem that was in "Trails of a wilderness Wanderer by Andy Russell;

Snow on the level three feet deep
Oh Lord how the wind is blowin.
We've eaten our caps and suspender straps
and dang if it still aint snowin.
~

And if in the spring when all nature sings
If you chance on this trail to track
And you find a couple of skeleton things
Don't worry it's just me and old Jack.
Do not correctly remember it all. Loaned the book to some one many years ago, never got it back. Decided to check on line. Found a copy at E-Bay and ordered it. I may post the poem once the book gets here.

Just dry winds and fires in California. Over 25 people died so far from fires, and hundreds of homes, and businesses burned. One town completely gone. Stan

I see the Pres. said that it was time for California's tree huggers to back off, and allow responsible forest and land management methods to prevail again. I can't agree more after seeing detailed reports on how unmanaged, protected, land and forests are fueling those fires.

jon ---- looking out the window I see a pickup and tractor sitting out in the snow and ice?? with all these new buildings there must be some place to park them under cover  have you been able to find any of your serfs in the kingdom to get them working??

The serfs have been in hiding and
unavailable for work! Haven't gotten in
the habit of putting the truck in yet.
Got both working tractors in the
quanset shed tho. The two on the far
right are projects waiting for me to
clean and organize the shed so I can
get them in.

I went out bow hunting this afternoon. It was very peaceful. A light breeze and a little snow coming down. Rattled in the smallest buck in the woods. Now the work begins.

Certainly not. I grew up on top of Buffalo Ridge. Used to cheer myself hoarse for the Purple. Since the NFL got taken over by Socialist Jerks, I quit watching and discovered I can do Amazing things of a Sunday afternoon.
