Valve stem core problem

Thanks to all for the advice on the valve core issue. I soaked the stem for @ 24 hours with a solvent, then went to my local tire store and got the proper brass core, jacked the tractor up, and it actually came out pretty easy. As the saying goes, you never get too old to learn. I was raised on a farm and have been around it all my life, but this is the first time I messed with rear tires on a larger tractor. Didn't realize the 2 piece stems existed. Thanks again.

Thanks for the feedback. Too often those that offer advice don't know how things turned out. Glad it was so simple for you.

Glad to hear you jacked the tractor up. First time I did a rear on my old WD, I just put the valve stem at the top, and I got blasted by CaCl when I pulled the stem out. What a mess.

Glad it worked for you. I mentioned anti-seize on the cores but I always run the thread chaser in before I put it back. If you're quick you can get the chaser in and out before it goes flat so any dirt will be blown out.
