Talk about air to fuel ratio

When I work on engine combustion, I get thinking.

This is the AFR table from my MH44, you create this table, then tune the mixture to attain this.

I really never took time to fully flush it out.
 
I ran it rich under load to protect engine, think I will research this winter and redo next spring.

You don't want to be stoich all the time, in fact hardly at all. This graph represents an ideal AFR after you consider engine load.

The ideal AFR for max power is around 12.5-13.5:1
The ideal AFR for max economy is around 15-16:1
 
David,

Many years ago a friend had a single engine aircraft. He would tune the carb to get max exhaust temp.

So how does the ideal FAR compare to the exhaust temp?
 
David, what part of Israel are you going to. I got to looking around on Google Earth and in street view you can go down on the street just as if you are standing there. the google car was all over Israel. People are walking around on the streets and i never saw any one with guns.
