Hopefully I am not poking any bears with this post but word around the watering hole is that ISU is slowly working towards getting rid of the old dairy barn and possibly the livestock pavilion next to it.
I think that is a real shame because those buildings have some rich history to them and are still in very good shape. It would be nice if they could turn one or both of them into a museum or a meeting center or classrooms, or a combination of all 3. If nothing else they could give tours of them. Maybe some of you have been inside them (maybe even worked in them).
I am sure the university's reasons for getting rid of them are safety issues and that the buildings cost too much to maintain/insure and that they could put student housing there instead and cram more students (income) onto the inundated campus. Its just a bummer that those buildings can't be put to good use.
