3 cyl Kubota gas engine. 25 hp. 3 sets of rings, head gasket, valve seals came to $402.00.. Head gasket is maybe 14" x 6" paper thin tin was $106 plus tax and freight..

How many hours did the rings last? Seems a lot of people dumping these newer tractors when they get a couple thousand hours on them....

I keep killing my Yanmar, been rebuilt 3 times , never makes it to
a thousand hours , Hi Performance /shortlife

The diesels they are running for years, most of the tractors if not all are diesel......it's the gassers that don't last long.

The tin piece is not a head gasket,it is a spacer to maintain piston to valve clearance if needed. Should be a regular looking head gasket in the kit.

Got a JD750 with Yanmar engine. IIRC it has 2400 or so hours. Never a problem with it. Still runs fine. They do recommend valve adjustment and injector testing every 500 hours. And I do the engine oil around 100 hrs. First valve adjustment was in order. After that they were fine. Injector tips needed replaced at 1500 hrs ? inj. pump guy told me these injectors need attention more than others. That's why the 500 hr service schedule on them. A bad spray pattern will hurt your engine.
