Thanks to those who responded to my post a couple days ago about rebuilding a China made hydraulic cylinder. I found a local
machine shop that stocks a bunch of seals and they were able to get me going for only $40 plus I made a new friend! Oddly
the cylinder was all English dimensions even though it was clearly made in China, go figure!

What?s even nearer than that is some of this new modern hardware Is English thread size but has a metric head

Bought my daughter a new 1982 Chevrolet when she graduated from high school, They were warranted till you got them home , just about in those days. The water pump went out at about 10K. I replaced it. The pump was held on by 2 7/16 bolts and 2 12 mm bolts.
