OT: Frigidaire side by side?

I think the plastic water line inside the freezer door is frozen. There is a blockage in the plastic water line. I can't blow air either direction, 120 psi. I used a 12g copper wire and it stops at the door. How do you take the door apart? No screws under the door gasket. What's the trick?

I had that happen at a rental. The plastic cover on the front snaps off. Under that are a couple screws,You will need a hair dryer and patience. Google it

Thanks for confirming my suspension of a frozen water line.
I was able to get the gasket off, but I think the door is filled with extruded urethane. I don't think it possible to get to the real cause.

I couldn't get a 12g copper wire to get any farther than the door pushing the wire from the water solenoid to the door. I think the line is frozen solid, about 3 ft of it.

So if I get it to thaw, what's to prevent it from freezing again?

Actually the line comes apart at the bottom corner of the door so you can remove the door. It will have mini shark bite type of connectors. Its probably frozen right by the ice chute.

No knob, digital control.

I put a blanket over the freezer section. Left door open. Put a fan on the freezer side of door. It thawed out and working. I had removed water line at solenoid and blew water on the water alarm I had behind refrig.

Put water line back on solenoid. Big question is how to make ice with a warmer freezer?

(reply to post at 15:23:24 10/18/18) New to this forum but I thought I'd add a little to this discussion being a recently retired appliance service technician. Did you disconnect the water line at the bottom hinge of the door and then with the door closed try pushing the water buttom? If you did and water came out then the water line is frozen in the door and the door is not made to come apart. Then you need to warm up the door some how and turn the control to a warmer setting. If no water comes out when you do that then it can be many other things from one of the electric valves to a frozen water tank in the FRIDGE section. Good luck!

Mr. George, I had that happen to me one time. The problem was the solenoid valve at the back of the refrigerator. It would not shut off completely and would let just enough water in to the freezing compartment to freeze right at the end of the tube where it poured in ti the ice tray. A new valve fixed my problem. It might fix yours too. I hope this makes sense. Steve Norwood.

I went to the back of refrig, disconnected the line at the solenoid valve.
Water came out there when I pushed on the door. I used air compressor and line
in door completely blocked.

Got water in door working. I discovered there is no water tank in ref side to
cool the water. All I get is warm filtered water at the door. Big deal. I can
take a few steps and get water faster from sink.

Now I have to work on the ice maker which I"ve replaced before.
