I drained my fuel tank and put fresh diesel fuel in and it runs fine now. When I drained it, I figure it had about 2/3 diesel and 1/3 gas. I don't know why I got the wrong can but I will be a little more careful next time. Not my first mistake and I hope I live long enough to make more mistakes. I appreciate all the suggestions I received on this post. Y'all are a lot of help and there is a lot of knowledge on here. Thanks again

I have 2 brush piles to burn now and 2 more later to burn. I like to pick a good cold morning with a frost. I let it burn out a ways and it is easy to keep an eye on that way

If you have any old gas tractors they will burn that diesel blend, a little at a time. I put a quart of diesel in every 5 gallons of gas for our Farmall C, it loves it.

That is why GAS cans are red and DIESEL are yellow or green depending what you buy. Real old school was green. Yellow was kerosene. Now everything on Ebay is yellow. Go figure. Sure others know something different. Also on Ebay for a couple of bucks you can buy nice big DIESEL stickers for your can.

It would be interesting to know what you REALLY had going on.

A diesel should run just fine on gasoline 'til the lack of lubricity causes the injection pump to seize.

I would expect most mechanically injected diesels would run with no issues all day long under part load/mild temps with a mix of 1/3 gasoline and 2/3 #2 diesel.

Wonder why yours ran badly, yet apparently suffered no lasting damage???
