I just bought a Massey Harris tractor, the man told me it was a 1956, but im not sure, i need to know because i would like to get the manual on it

This bunch is pretty good but not mind readers we would need a model and serial number or a good photo as a start.

But you may be a little sarcastic huh, i wasn't asking for a mind reader and i posted a picture as well, the only numbers i have found are 6333A

Did you know that whatever you did for posting the photo didn't work very well? Where did that number you
posted come from on the tractor?

It says it's trying to upload the picture, it must be the forum or something slowing it down. The numbers are beside the gear stick on top of the transmission

The issue is that this forum /site does not allow new or near new posters to upload images (this is to keep the site from being
overrun by nasty images. If you ask Kim on the feedback forum to the left, she will give permission. No issue with you, it is
just we are trying to assist. Jim

have you looked at the serial # as it will tell you the model and serial #. 1956... sure appears it could be a massey 44 special. it is an oval tag located on the left side beside clutch pedal.

Sometimes photos load VERY slowly, also after the photo loads you need to click continue, even if it is just one photo.

Ralph, jm. is actually not out of line with his response. Questions with next to nothing for information are common here and responses like jm.'s are common. jm. is a very frequent poster here and gives freely of his knowledge especially on Kubotas.

That's fine, I just wasn't looking to get that sort of response back, I would have been more professional, just saying.

Could have a rectangular tag on the right side just in front of the belt pulley. If his 6333 is actually G333, it may be a 333....need more numbers to be certain
Ben

I got some more numbers off 3 different plates. MF 0140G 32768. And 236FF 1261. I'm not 100% sure the plates have been painted over and I'm being very careful

Sounds like an early MHF similar to an MF 50 or Ferguson 40. The experts will soon
tell you. Ben

(quoted from post at 18:29:07 10/14/18) That's fine, I just wasn't looking to get that sort of response back, I would have been more professional, just saying.

Professional? While some here have professions as a whole we are a bunch of folks who like and own old tractors. And we all have opinions about what oils to use, filters, gas and everything else. If you are looking for professionalism here you sir have come to the wrong place........

But hi, welcome to the forums!

Rick

Im sorry that you dont understand that "some" people may not have the knoldge about this sort of stuff, just saying there's no reason to be sarcastic, if uou can't be polite the you dont have to respond
