Wouldn't you know, today is near perfect. We went color touring in northern Michigan Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Wednesday was nice for the drive up,the rain didn't start until around three o'clock. There's an overlook called Eagleview that overlooks the Manistee River up on Lund road between Lake City and Fife Lake. The colors were half way decent. Thursday was windy, cold and rainy. We drove up to Petoskey. The waves were breaking over the pier at the lighthouse. We went on up and drove the tunnel of trees between Harbor Springs and Cross Village. I sure wish it'd been a nicer day,but it was a beautiful drive on the bluffs about Lake Michigan despite the weather. The lake sure was rough at a little roadside park between Petoskey and Charlevoix. I wouldn't have wanted to be out there on a boat or a ship of any size. We drove over to Grayling Friday morning, wanted to ride bike from Grayling to Hartwick Pines, but it was snowing. No thanks.

very nice. thank you .our fall is normally brown the they fall. we may have some color this year

Nice color. We are just starting to get some here now. Two weeks ago wife and I went to Stowe VT. for what we thought was going to be a week long vacation taking day trips each day. There was no color and over all we were very disappointed with VT. We have a thriving Amish community here in Ohio and I just spent the last two days there at an antique tractor auction. Had more fun and enjoyed the last two day much more than our short stay in VT.

Mr . Lund

Beautiful ! , Thank You Randy .

I really enjoy seeing the trees change colors . Here in the Nevada desert the Evergreens , Cottonwoods , and Mesquites never change colors like that . Sometimes I wish they would , just to break the monotony .

We just got back Saturday night from Mackinac City and Island trip. This was some of the brightest colors on the trees I have seen in years. Sorry, pictures cannot do them justice. You need to experience it in person.Too bad Michigan does not make places to pull off where the trees are the best. When we went to Mackinac Island Thursday we had 20 mph winds so a little choppy. On the return trip wind was up to 25-30 mph and waves were 6'-8'. People pay good money to an amusement park for rides like that but only last 30 seconds. We were out about 40 minutes each way.

A tour guide told us we should have been there 2 weeks ago. Waves were 10'-15' with 50 mph winds. No thanks.

Friday night and Saturday morning greeted us with S***. We were not ready for that. We dressed warm but the other stuff they can keep.
