OT: Black Crud/Mold(?) by Door Hinges

As you can see in the attached pictures, I have some black crud that appears to emanate from the interfaces in my door hinges. It also accumulates in the jam. My only concern is whether it might be mold? Or is it just metal/corrosion sluffing off? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Remove one hinge pin at a time, lube that pin and reinstall it. Spraying lube at hinges just makes a mess.

efinitely NOT mold! Just cheap a$$ed 'metal' coming apart. Too much slag/dirt and not enough quality iron. Lube helps a bit, but just keep cleaning up the junk.

if it's not graphite that was used to lubricate it, then it needs lubricated to minimize the wear on the metal.
