Do I need a copper crush washer?

Sorry, I'm 35 and in my world everything has a manual, so sometimes I'm not good at knowing the right way to put things together. Project at hand is my IH240 hydraulic remote. I think its 1/2 pipe thread, but everything goes in pretty loose until it butts up against the other fitting. Once tight it doesn't leak, but I don't have confidence it will stay tight very long. I'm thinking it's the perfect place for a copper crush washer... is that sound? If not, what would be the correct way to make these connections?

Is there a taper seat in the bottom that the fitting tightens against?

If so, no washer, just tighten it up.

If it's not leaking, it is probably as it should be.

If it needed a washer or oring, it would be leaking.

Did you find the O-rings in the part diagram?

Looks like this is what you need... O-RING, 10-1, 90 Duro, .755" ID x .097" Thk
