Smallest tractor with a cab?

What's the smallest tractor that you have with a cab, heat/AC and enough hp for a 6 ft mower?
I have no need for a loader. Would like a 3 pt to push snow.

My Jubilee is around 30 hp, handles a 6 ft mower. Not sure how much more power an AC would require.

I guess another question when it comes to Hp. Do they rate today's tractors like lawn mowers, engine hp, or actual hp getting to the wheels or PTO?

Would like to find something size wise like Jubilee. So is it pie in the sky to ask for something that small with a cab? Recommendations!

I saw a fairly small IH tractor in someone's driveway a couple of weeks ago with a homemade cab made with an old truck bed cap for the top. It was pretty ugly, but it's certainly cost effective as long as you can see out of the little windows.

I'm getting old. I want a factory cab with heat and AC and need to be able to remove snow. No need for SXM or GPS. Do want a very smooth ride.

You must have been by Lake of the Ozarks!

Most of the mainline tractor companies offer a compact tractor of that size with all the comforts of home.....and at about half the price of that home!

George the compact/small tractors are rated with GROSS horsepower. So look close for the actual PTO horse power. As for how small? You can get AC/Heat in tractors under 30 HP. The trouble I have found is the tractor is too small for the cab to have much room. So I would get larger 40 HP or larger size just to get more cab room. I am meaning 40 PTO HP. too.

JD has 4000 series tractor that have a pretty good cab. The JD 3000 series have cabs but they are pretty tight/small.

I know JD has a factory cab on their 3 series tractors. That would be in the same hp class you're looking for. I think I heard or read somewhere they're going to put one on their 2 series now. That would be a little small though. Certainly not a cheap option but maybe a newer tractor will do what you need it to do, when you need to do it.

I don't think there is a way to take my money with me when I die, so I'm going to spend it while I'm alive. Better than having my kids fight over it or look up from the grave watch DIL drive a new car she bought with my money.

Worst than that spend it on Dr or a nursing home.

I think I have to keep tractor light enough so I don't put ruts in lawn. Jubilee is perfect hp and weight, just need a comfortable cab.

George I have a JD 4320 compact about 48hp with cab air and heat and I think its just about perfect I have a 6'tiller 6'brush hog 7'box blade 7' bucket on the front loader 7'snow blade on the front for pushing snow and it handles all great I would not want to be with out it. Randy will try to post pic.

George KUBOTA Makes a tractor that seems to fit your request. Look at the upper end of the B series and you can get factory cab with hydrostatic transmission that would mow and move snow . Let me know what you think.

I have a MF 1635 with a 72" finish mower. Turns tighter than my 8N and plenty of power. FWA has sure been nice this year with wet conditions. AC works great, I have about 3 acres to mow and it makes the work much more pleasant. Link to Tractor House:

I once knew of someone in Texas who had a push mower, but didn't like getting up early to mow. Instead, he got ahold of one of those soft cabs meant for walk-behind snow blowers and rigged it up over the lawn mower. Then he modified it with a battery-powered fan and water supply. As water would trickle out, the fan would blow the cool air over him.

Offhand, I'd say that's the smallest I've ever heard of.

It used to be always, tractors were rated/ compared by pto hp.

Today, they often are called by the engine hp, but you can find the pto rating to be able to compare them to what you know/ understand from older honester days.

I have a Kubota B3030 that I bought in 2008 after looking also at some other makes, but it was the only one that was, at 30 h.p., big enough to handle a rear mounted snowblower, front end loader, have a cab with both heat and AC, and fit into a door of seven foot height. It has served me well, has had no trouble other than changing a fuel filter and by using the good-sized mirrors I can blow snow without turning around.

Go over to bane welker or down to Washington. They?ll have a real small Kubota that will have it all. I was going to buy one for winter duties at work but could not bring myself to buy a new one to spread salt ( I have two awesome 5? wide 3pt drop spreaders from purdue) and push snow. So I bought a used 4wd JD 4400 with cab and heat. Works good but the cab is aftermarket and not the best. Keeps the snow off and heat in though.

I have a Kubota B3030 with factory cab with heat, ac, and a front snowblower. It is small enough to fit in a 7 foot garage door, but just barely. I should have listened to my wife years ago, it is so much nicer cleaning the driveway in the winter.

I always stop at the tractor place on Highway 50 East in Washington, just to look at all their inventory. Sounds like you are an Indiana resident. Gibson County here.

Fitting in a garage with 7 ft door will be nice. I wouldn't have to build a pole barn to fit it in.
Doing my homework. Don't think I need 4x4 tractor.
What size mower do you have? Belly or 3 pt mower?
What is the pto speed?

THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS.

I only use the Kubota for snowblowing so far. A belly mower was an option, but Ive heard they are more cumbersome to install/remove than a three point hitch mower. Any two wheel drive compact tractor will have an aftermarket cab and will not have ac. For a front mount snowblower, four wheel drive is very useful.

I just bought a Kubota B3350. Mine's a ROPS model (trees) but it's available with climate controlled cab. Not cheap.

The B3350 is 27 PTO HP. The 3350 replaced a very good 51 8N with Sherman combination. It has more than enough power to operate the 5' rough cut mower that I used on the 8N but the smaller tires and short wheelbase bounce me around more. It is also more likely to scalp when mowing close due to the smaller tires.

The 3350 is not available 2WD but a cost reduced SU version is available without some of the bells and whistles, including mid PTO (can't use MMM).

Both 5' and 6' belly finish mowers are available.

Tractors, including CUTS and SCUTS are always rated PTO HP, though engine HP is often also published. The B3350 is 33 engine HP, about the same as your Jubilee, though it is significantly smaller.

It's available only with hydrostat transmission.

If you want something with a cab that is comparable in size and weight to your Jubilee, you will need to move up to the Grand L models, which cost more.

I'm sure that JD has similar models.

We have a 4000 series John Deere Cab ajr heat. Air ride seat. Loader wirh leveling bucket. Quick tach both ends. Also hyd top link. 48 engine hp. The smallest is 44 engine hp. They all are 4x4. You will regret not getting a newer tractor without front wheel pull.

I?m in Tippecanoe. Family from Brown county. I went to Washington store to buy my latest L5740. Way nicer than our store

Trouble is so far as I know all will have Diesel engines ! You might be able to get a Kubota and have the engine switched out for a gas one ?

Mike,
That's what I've been researching. Kubota does make a 32 hp gas. It can be ordered with a cab. It might fit in a garage with a 7 ft door. I have a local dealer on my way in town. Bane/Walker Case/IH. Some rainy day, I may stop in and have a chat. Bane/Walker is a good dealer and close. The other good brand dealers are in another town.
IMHO, need to look for a good dealer where you live.

My mistake, no factory AC unit.

Kubota looked really good when I inquired at our local dealer on Saturday when I was picking up mower parts. Cab would be nice as grass allergies are starting to bother me more.

Don't think that Kubota (yet) makes any gasoline powered CUTs/SCUTs. I believe that they do make a gasoline powered lawn tractor (or at least did).

What is the model number?
