Went to a farm auction today, prices were low on somethings.
Kubota M4500 1988 $3200 good shape 80% tires
Farmall 504 row crop new tires $2000 ran great
Gheil 4x5 round baler no one would bid
two NH 273 balers working condition $50 ea.
one bottom horse drawn ride on plow $900
John deere wooden axle hay rack $100
side hill plow $75
I bought a bale spear great condition $35 old hay wagon factory running gear $90
They also sold 3 Belgian horses and gear didn't stay for that.

No market for equipment that makes no money is about what it comes down to. 273 NH balers were good Machine, in the 1970?s, but who wants to make small square bales with a baler that is closing of 50 years old?

Many balers of that era still being used in my area mostly by people that sell hay to horse owners or by horse owners themselves,I have an Oliver 62-T I bale some hay with every year.

I don?t know where the auction was, but the plow must have been something special to someone. The Kubota would have gone for more, here.

Those plows have some collector value. I paid $55 for a Vulcan and $60 for a Chattanooga, both hillsides. That's more than I've paid for any other plows. I passed on an Oliver hillside for $75,but should have bought it.

There were a lot of Amish there I think that is why the plow went for so much. The Gehl was a 1475 I think electric tie and monitor. I thought the kubota would go for $4000=4500 they had to fight for $3200
