Been wet for most of three years, this is getting ridiculous. Could hardly farm this year. Southern MN on the old glacial lake bottoms.

Only saw 4 combines running at 5:00, see a lot of tracks in fields, and we don?t even have to drive in the low spots, they all drowned out several floods ago.

Now we have a weather watch in our area for 2-6 inches of rain Sunday through Wednesday.

And wife just saw, there is another hurricane in the pasific that might do the same path in a week and dump another pounding of rain on about the same corn belt area.

Yikes.

Not around here. We just need to get it drained off as fast as we can. Too much water. Our soil type descriptions often include ?water table near or above surface level for parts of the year.?

I've had around 3/4 of an inch yesterday and 1/2 an inch today here at the Lake of the Ozarks of MO. The weather guessers are calling for more off and on for the next few days

I am up in north west Iowa and We are 22 inches above average -- more corn coming out than beans-- I work for a local farmer hauling the grain and We can do a 100 acres a day but just the same Ya got to be able to get out there with out burying the combine or any thing else in the mud-- beans were running around 12 to 14 % and went up to 20 with all the rain and drizzle -- now the pods are dry but not the bean -- this year has been trying a Mans sanity -- All things will work out but is taking longer than other years -- Roy

Bone dry in southern indiana. Had less than a tenth yesterday. Starting running the sub soiler this morning till it was dry enough to run beans.

Here in s.w. PA I was building the arc but it is under water from the last flood. Been very wet all summer and then we got about 8 in from remnants of that Hurricane, not Florence but the one before that. Rain about 5 days per week, not just rains, we get downpours. All the gravel lanes have washed out, lanes that have been there for years!. Fields are just too wet to be on.

There are areas on the farm where I mow with my 46" Husqvarna that have been wet almost all summer long. This ground is normally nice and dry all of the time. Next thing you know fish are going to be swimming up hill! In my yard there is a 5 gallon plastic bucket that has been standing up right for maybe two months over on the back side of the yard. It was filled to the top last week.

We had a dry summer, but the states north of me have had so much rain that we got to use our Mississippi river camp only 3 days this summer. BTW, it is underwater again right now. North MO

Two state highways join and cross a river into town here. My farm is across that river.

They are rebuilding that bridge (and 2 others, access and rr crossing) this summer and next summer. 2 year detour.

The rain is so bad, they have very little work done on it. They built a pier out under it, but it is flooded with high water so often, they can?t work.

I?m worried the miserable detour is going to last into a third year..........

Was set up at the What Cheer flea market this weekend. Had about 7". Left early, Had to deture about 120 miles to get home because of water over the road. Good luck with your harvest.

first part of sept, we got 11" rain over 10 days, after that we went to san diego for my sons navy promotion, and to see 2 grandsons that we haven't seen yet, it didn't rain at all while we were gone as I could have gotten my 50 acres of hay made. got home it started to rain again, as we had 2 good days, got my new seeding in the silo, wouldn't have gotten it baled. this last thurs was a nice day, only got a 1/4" in the morning, waited till 2 oclock for that to dry off, got 25 acres wheat notilled into a hay field (tiled), rained every day since, rain well into next week. neighbor took off 5 acres soybeans to plant wheat, beans at 25%. called ariel sprayer guy to see if can fly on the rest of my wheat seed. ec wis

Bone dry summer (I was watering 12" diameter trees so I didn't lose them, like I did from summer of '15), getting a little rain, but not much yet. Was supposed to rain 1/2 to 1 inch Friday, I think we probably got a tenth or so. Western Washington.

We did too. Hay was going for a premium due to the drought with no end in sight and now pretty green grass is everywhere, my winter peas have sprouted and up about 3". Going to have to dry up before anybody can get to it to bale.

I will let you know in a few days I will also get the email sent now I forgot

I have a guard dog on a very long chain in the yard to keep unwanted visitors away. His water is in a big roasting pan with a steel post through a handle so he can't tip it but I can still dump it if need be. I have taken very little water to him this year. The rain comes at about the same rate as he drinks most of this year.

I've quit counting. We had almost 8 inches the last week of September and first week of October. Saved my bacon as far as pastures and third cutting goes, but it hasn't let up much. I couldn't believe there was 1.1 in the gauge this morning. I dumped 2.5 just a few days ago. I don't even know when that 1.1 came. I thought it had just been misting and drizzling.
