Kuboto diesels

Looking at a B6100 Kubota 4x4 with a 3 cylinder deisel. Has 2100 hours.
Looks very clean.
Should I be afraid of the Kubota deisel at all? Are they reliable.
Any issues?

Thanks for any advice.

all i've been around are reliable and seem to be bullet proof, really like the 2 i've owned.

I've worked on Kubota's off and on for many years. Great tough machines. As far as I know, very reliable
engines. I have B2710 tractor with loader. It's my "hired hand, helper". Small enough to get in tight spots,
but strong enough to lift and hold things until I get a stand under them.
Just make sure the PTO turns the proper direction, but I think it
was the B6000 that had the backwards PTO. There were special PTO implements made for that tractor.
Only thing hard for me is servicing it. As I've advanced in years(Old, 71), it's harder to get down on
the ground to work on it.....OK, easy to get down, hard to stand up! So I have a car trailer than I use
when it's time to work on the tractor. I run the tractor up on the trailer near the edge of the bed.
Then I can stand beside it or sit in the edge of the bed to work on it. Just keep it serviced and I think you'll be fine.
Got any other questions, e-mail or message me

I too, have 5 Kubotas. No issues.

My first, a B1750HSDT, bought new in the spring of 1993, has been flawless. In the 25+ years that I have owned it, it has need absolutely nothing.

Nothing. Not even a fuse, fan belt, or radiator hose. nothing.

Yes, it does get routing maintenance, is not abused, and is kept inside. Still, that record is impressive.

Great
Are yours compact tractors?
I will be using this for odd jobs - nothing huge. Some snow plowing, wood moving gravel scraping cleanup.
I have some tight areas to get into otherwise I'd look for something larger.
Seems like this is a good size for my needs.

Do the deisels require any special maintenance?

Thanks for your reply.

The only problem i have with kubota's is they won't let you sell one in the photo adds. They tell me Kubota's are not farm tractors and sellers were scammers.

Thanks all for your responses.

Very helpful.

I'll be driving it in the morning and checking it over.

I've had a B7200 (a little more power) for 18 years. About the same number of hours as yours. It never ceases to amaze me how good a tractor it is.

That would hardly be Kubota's fault.

Absolutely love my 92 and 88. No problems at all.
