I'll be 61 next week, I and my wife, don't ever remember getting snow quite this early. The leaves are in peak this weekend. There are tractors in each picture to keep it legit.

You are getting snow and Fall hasn't arrived in Terre Haute.
Going to be in the 80's next week. Haven't had a frost. Didn't
have much of a spring either. Went from winter to summer very
quickly.
Might skip fall and go to winter.

Might of been last weekend we had frost in N.Ill. followed by the high 80's Wed. Month ago I heard a Farmer's Almanac guy on the news say it was going to be cold and nasty in the midwestern states to New England states starting early and lasting to the first day of spring. Always a pretty good chance the guy's wrong though.

Old timers in this corner of the world
(Manitoba Saskatchewan border 2 hours
north of the US border) tell tales of
years ago, when it snowed in September and
never melted, it's not unusual for us to
harvest crop in the spring, but this year
it looks like there'll be lots left
through the winter, unless mother nature
co-operates. We've got about 5 inches of
wet heavy snow here now

Were up here in North Dakota, and its been snowing here all day, sure its really melting, but a real mess, still have lots of crop out there. I'm 63, and when I was 6, my sweet Mother had a birthday party for me and it was snowing and had rain before, my little friends had a tough time coming to my house. My Mother said I was looking out our picture window, and I said "this is awful", this was Oct. 8th!

October 12, 69 or 70 it snowed here, E SD, and stayed all winter. Picked corn with the 930 Western and Case 2 row picker for myself and a neighbor. Had a small lp heater in the cab.

It's northern Minnesota, Dan, and if your not from here, you should probably bring your winter clothes in July !!

It might look nice but its the worst possible scenario for us at harvest time. We have had several snows already. The last one has almost
melted and there is hope we might harvest a little more crop before real winter. Its mind boggling to think of the millions (billions?) worth
of crop still left in the fields in Western Canada. Its happened here before but its always bad news. Spring harvested crop is usually
garbage and a lot of lost money.
I've got this old photo from the 1930s showing snow on the sheaves here.
