Army worms in brome

Fall army worms hit a couple weeks ago. Took some brome fields down to brown-gray stubble.. Fortuante to have never experienced this before. Wondering whether/how it will come back next spring. Who has seen this happen and how did it turn out. Thanks.

The beauty of it is, you can't kill brome, so no harm no foul. It'll come up next spring as if nothing happened.

Army worms came through our area in 2012, ate a swath through, and moved on. I think they're nomadic. They don't stay in one place.

More research, they come through about every 7 years, so it looks like we're due for an invasion next year.
