Ford 8n Funk Conversion Piece

I recently bought a bunch of Ford tractor parts. In one of the crates I found, what I think is an aluminum hood extension for a Funk Conversion. The only markings are "N75". So is there a difference between the 6cyl and v8 extensions? I have no info on the history, other than it sat in a shed for more than 15 years. So could this be an early conversion part?

The flathead V8 did not require the hood extension unless you wanted
the tall oil bath air cleaner on top of the upright original carburetor.
The 6 cylinder was a taller engine and required the hood extension.
