Farmall B Tractor Searial Number # Help

Hi, I am looking at a Farmall B Tractor with the serial # 212355 looking at yesterday data base the serial # will not match any that are from 1939 thur 1947 I think this tractor was a demonstrator as I can see yellowish to what I think was white paint under the red paint on the tractor! Any help with the serial # and if you think this was a demonstrator tractor would b very appreciated. Thanks. Bill

I have no idea what the serial # of the last "B" built was, but they built 30,000 to 40,000 of them some years, and the STARTING serial number for 1947 was 182964, so it is a least POSSIBLE your serial number (which is 29,391 higher) was built in 1947.

Its a 47 and no its not a demonstrator. There were no B demos.

Thats because they dont list the serial#s of the A,AV,BN and Bs that were built in Louisville in 47 they just
list the serial#s of the ones built at the Chicago as both places built those tractors in 47 so yours is a 47
built in Louisville

The Louisville tractors started with serial# 200,000
