Stonework on Norwegian farm

Hi, I watched a video about a small veg operation on a larger dairy farm in Norway, and near the end there was a fantastic stone cottage that I thought Larry would like.

Another shot of it.

The video was from Richard Perkins, called "Farming alone with zero frost-free months".

Bye for now,

It takes a lot of skill, vision and guts to work with stones that size. Nice work, thanks for sharing.

In Pennsylvania there is the Great Canal near Hershey and in NY state there is the Black River canal, that feed water to the Erie canal and in northern New Jersey there is the Morris canal. Visited them. Such a shame almost all of them are dry or gone. In England and most of Europe they are still used and VERY popular tourist boat trips. One more, out near Altoona there was the Allegheny Portage Railway. Down in Maryland the C&O railroad started out as a canal. There is a very nice museum in Boonville, ny about the blackriver canal.

Erie canal is still in use. Have watched boats go through the locks near Troy NY. They have to run the locks for anyone on the canal even a canoe.
