My oldest son's long time girlfriend graduated from Ferris State University Pharmacy School in May. She passed her State Board Exams this last week. She's been a pharmacy assistant for several years. She starts her new job and a full on pharmacist Wednesday.

She's my retirement plan. As soon as she gets rich, they can buy the farm and I can retire to a little place on the water. lol

Congratulations, a great reward for her hard work. My oldest son graduates from Ferris' Pharmacy school next May, he is serving his rotations at the VA hospital in Battle Creek right now. I believe his is the first class to take seven years to complete- it is rewarding in the end, we hope!

Great photo ..... my oldest buddy from up here when we were kids coached hockey at Ferris State a number of years back. I think he got sacked, not sure of the exact story. Pharmacists have a better chance of keeping their jobs than hockey coaches it seems ..... good luck to everyone !!!!

Good luck with the retirement plan. I was thinking the same with my kids. Daughter has a bomb shelter in her basement, about 12 feet square, with a concrete ceiling. Bare light bulb hanging from the ceiling. The kids announced our "retirement plan" awhile back- they'll install us in "The Vault", as we call it, and will make a little chute from the kitchen so Sus can send some food down once in awhile, if she remembers to. They have a bathroom and washer and dryer in the basement, which we can use (on a limited basis, of course- water costs money!). No shower or tub, but they do have a year-round creek. She said with a little luck, she won't see us from one month to the next.

Great news Randy!!! I would bet that kids will replace you as the attraction for the DIL. LOL You will get the tent in the backyard if your lucky!!!! LOL

My kids tell me I will end up back in the little building we lived in when we first got married all those years ago. So kind of like full circle. Smart butt son says that the lock will be on the OUTSIDE of the door this time so they can keep me contained. LOL

Congratulations Randy,

I have been told that relying on your in-laws is not always a great retirement plan, although I met a gentleman from Petoskey, MI who is a retired pharmacist and is one of the finest restoration people that I have ever known. Somewhere along the way he became extremely talented. Dont overlook her offer if she wants to help restore a tractor.

Congratulations. That's a lot of hard work. Our daughter is a pharmacist and our son is dating a pharmacist. So I will have 2 drug dealers in the family

KCM ..... that's an interesting story in itself, particularly when she left Mayberry and the show. Link below spells some of
it out, those were the days ....

Congratulations, Randy! They look like a real nice couple. When I was working at the University of Michigan, one of my jobs was to repair the steam traps in the school of Pharmacy. The students had little computer work stations placed all around this big room with signs above each one with the name if their mythical drug store. Like, "Bob the Pill Pusher", and Mandy's Drug Mart" and all kind of cute names.

LOL , I approve of that plan ,And Your son s Choice,,. When my nephews and sons show up with a keeper,.,. After a few visits ,. I Say ," Hey Boy , You need to fix her finger ." The 1st one asked why . Since then They all know She needs a ring on her finger.
