Great plains 706nt

I have a 1006nt. 100 hp 2 wheel drive pulls it pretty well, even on steep hills. Friend used it with 75 hp and pulled it pretty well, I think he had to shift down on hills. For a 706 maybe 60 hp? 50 as a minimum? If your trying to pull it with an older tractor, they do take a little bit of hydraulic pressure to pick up full of seed, maybe 1500 psi? Like a lot of things, weight is more important than power. Jd 3020, IH 706, Oliver 1655 should all pull your drill ok.

Thanks I don't think it would ever be full of seed as most fields I do are 3acres or less. This is the conservation districts rental drill.
