Farmtrac tractors

are Farmtrac tractors back? just saw an add with a 2017 Farmtrac with a loader, I would like to know, there is one coming up for auction a few hours from me. Any insight would be appreciated Thanks Larry

They are produced in India, basically
the same plants where the three
cylinder Ford's Indians love so much
were produced became farmtrac when
Ford ceased production. Many models
are very interchangeable with Ford's.
I asked a friend from India what there
opinion of quality was, he told me the
farmtracs are good and constantly
getting better but Ford's are still
the gold standard over there

I?m not so sure parts interchange on the Farmtracs, cosmetically they are built looking like the Fords from the late 60?s through the 70?s but other than wheels and fuel and oil filters being interchangeable I believe that?s all that?s compatible. I don?t own one but several friends and neighbors do have them and can?t get parts for them through former Ford now New Holland dealers, they are very reliable tractors

Long bought the tooling when Ford ceased
production, and started calling them
Farmtrac. Montana bought the operations
when Long went under. No idea who owns it
now.
