I have always thought that my farmall 560 seemed really fast. The city just got one of those towable speed limit signs that tell you how fast you are going, so I couldn't resist. I brought the 560 by opened wide up. 28 mph! I would have gotten a picture, but that seemed like a good way to end up dead. You all will just have to take my word for it. Maybe the tractor was easier to drive fast when newer, but it really feels like your doing 100 up there.

I understand. I was drive a M one day and though it would be cool to take a video over the hood. Not.....
That's was scary and I was probably only going 15mph.

Sounds like you must have taller tires or the rpm has been jacked up or both. Seems like way too fast for original equipment.

I don't know exactly what has been done to it, but I was told the original owner liked to take it to tractor pulls. PTO speed is about half throttle, and it runs my 1320 hesston discbine pretty well.

houston u have have a problem! none of these tractors left the factory going that fast.

Rust red, many years have gone by since that 560 left the factory, LOL.

My brothers Farmall M will do very close to that. rpm's turned up a little & stronger spring on governor.
