How many people on here are at work today!? Got in a 6:55, hope to be out at 5:00. Got all our feed trucks out on the road but one. Gotta feed the piggies to make the bacon!!

Did chores in the rain this morning. The boys all chipped in together so we got them all done in under two hours. So I would say just all the livestock support people have to work today. I noticed the feed trucks at the neighbors this morning too. You job is kind of like the milk haulers in a way. Have to deliver or hungry piglets.

Canned 10 more quarts of my tomato/green pepper/onion mix (base for chili, spaghetti, lasagna). That makes 77 quarts so far this season. Picked 20 more tomatos out of the garden, and pulled more weeds.

Doesn't take much of an excuse for me to take a day off anymore. I've paid my dues. Labor Day is flea market day.

I'm getting to be like an old guy out east of town. Folks always said when it's raining he can't work and when it's not raining he won't work. lol

More and more places around here don't recognize holidays anymore. No holiday pay or benefit of any kind for working that day. Just extra accountability for calling in.

Went to visit our daughters for the Holiday, I worked on one Daughter's car for 2 days, outdoors, at 95 degrees. It's what Dads do!

Weather forecasters promised three days of sun and 90 degrees. I mowed way too much second cut hay. Square baled two small fields and hauled them in. The heat and humidity was brutal.
