I was going to say Italy or Romania, but it does look a lot like those tractors you have posted pics of, doesn't it, Larry?

Quick search turned this up

From a farm publication in 1999.

Made in China

If you're looking for an inexpensive utility tractor, the Tyger 180 may fit the bill. Retailing at $4,995, it's claimed to be one of the least expensive tractors available in the United States.

According to U.S. distributor Masters Farm Supply, the 18-hp Tyger is a fuel-efficient, easy-starting diesel tractor. Contact Masters Farm Supply, Dept. FIN, Rt. 3, Box 392, Hwy. 73, Altha, FL 32421, 850/762-3221.

There were so many fly by night brands over the years. If I had to guess I'd say Yanmar, Mitsibishi or similar or a copy of.

HeHe. this is good, hope some sucker buys it. Then they come into the local dealer crying cause he cant get it to run or get parts, ROFL

Well, it's a "throw-a-way " tractor when new and now is 20 yrs old so basically it's already been thrown away by a couple owners and probably that's what they are attempting to do now. I wouldn't give over scrap weight price for it , as you may be doing just that in a week or two. Then you can at least get your $$$ back.

Hi, that tractor is no doubt Chinese. It reminds me of a bison. Don't compare it to a Yanmar, Japanese and a good tractor. Ed Will Oliver BC

Well if the original owner paid the $5000 list price which they probably didn't and used it almost 20 years that is $250/year to have it.Can't buy hardly anything for around $20 month.
Now its not worth $4000 for sure but even if the original owner gets $1500 they still have had use of a tractor at a very cheap price.

I think it's interesting that there are two nearly identical craigslist ads for this tractor. One in Dothan, AL and the other in Panama City, FL.

I'll out bid you at $1000,I have a couple 'orphan' compacts I've picked up and both have given good service and if they broke down the next time I use them I'll be more than gotten
any use out for the money. And if they do break down I can probably sell parts off them to more then cover my initial investment. To junk something like that tractor would be downright foolish.

I can recall seeing one dealer for these, I think, it was east of Corry, PA, on 6. Almost ten years since I was there.

Might be related to the TYM people.
