I have a 2000 ford f-750 with a bad pcm brain computer ,which is what my mechianic tells me, they have been discountiued by ford motors, with none left avaible in the u.s.a., does anybody know of a truck salvage yard that might have trucks like these, any help would be appreciated, thanks Dale

Wonder if your's has a bad connection some where, What is it doing and not doing, My e150 started not starting sometimes, every thing works and turns over but no start, reader said no link, I pulled the ecm relay cleaned ends and plugged back in then pulled the 10amp fuse for ecm , cleaned ends plugged back in and it started right up. had it happen few
other times since and Put new relay in and new fuse, clean ground connection. Good luck

What engine is in it? The ones we run have a 5.9 cummins in them. You should be able to get engine serial number and go to cummins dealer. Dont think a dodge dealer can look it up by serial number.
You would probabaly have to go to a cummins shop or freightliner. Same if it has the cat engine.

There are a number of places that rebuild PCMs. One in particular comes to mind. I have gotten several from this outfit with no problems. Usually under $200 exchange with a lifetime warranty. If you need the info, I will have to dig it up and post it. I don't have it handy right now.

There are numerous companies that repair ecms, A Google search should turn up one near you. You just
can't take an ecm out of one truck and install it in yours, unless you find an EXACT twin to your
truck. They are programmed for how your truck is spec'd. which engine, what transmission, manual or
auto, which emmission contols,49 states or Ca emmissios, what rear axle ratio, hyd brakes or air
brakes,a/c abs brakes or not...the list goes on

As I understand it, the DT466 is an inline 6 cylinder engine that is commonly used in school buses and 10-wheel box trucks. The 444TE (if I am not mistaken) is the V-8 diesel that was mostly used in Ford trucks. Not much similarity there.
