This should be a short discussion - - what exactly is an antique tractor? Anything built before a certain year?

On cars it's something like 20 years is a classic and 50 an antique.

Kind of a loose term. Some guys say 1939 and older Antique. Some say 1959 and older -Antique.1960 to 85(?) 'classic'.Acording to EDGTA(EarlyDayGasengine & Tractor Assn.) anything 30 years and older is considered 'Antique'.My preference is 1959 and older(two cylinder era) is antique. 1960 and up is 'classic'.30 years and up is 'modern'.Pick your own.....

In Maine auto's have to be at least 25 yrs. old, our tractor club anything built before 1960 I believe that was a number picked by the club founders. Anyone guess depending where you come from. Bottom line who knows.
