Stuck lug nut

I have an aluminum wheel on the Dodge truck the chrome cover
came off the Lugnuts and the Lugnut got stripped I tried pounding a
socket on it but nothing will break it loose now it?s round off recessed
in the wheel any suggestions on how to get the Lugnut out of there I
think they make sockets for stuff like this but I don?t know what
they?re called
 
Those caped lug nuts are pure junk. Here's 4 that I took off SWMBO's Ford Escape.

went through that twice with my wife's escape, no one ever touched the lugs except the dealer, twice I've made them replace all 20, there's a class action lawsuit starting against them over these POS nuts. I told my dealer that if my wife ever has a flat and we can't get them off, I will deliver it with a wrecker followed by the TV station setting up in their lot.
I'm hunting some solid uncapped ones to replace them with, but the wheel has a pretty large taper and I don't like what
I've found so far.
 
You need what they call nut extractor sockets. I have two sets. They work well. They are a left hand ,tapered internal spline. They will get the nut off but it will be junk when your done.

Son just came over last week to get them because of the same issue your having. A good MAC or SNAP ON set will be $125-150 but you can get cheaper set that will work for the few time you would need them for under $40.

This is why I brought lug nut sockets in haft sizes not that I like to spend money but time is money... They work great on caps that are damaged are missing caps... Lug nuts and studs do ware out I have seen it many a time... Honda is the worst to just snap a stud while taking a wheel off its no ones fraught it happens just suck it up install all new studs and lug nuts... Chrysler lug nuts are just plan junk :(...
