Ford 640 Tractor Oil Pressure 35 at idle

is this a normal oil pressure range for the tractor to run at idle??? it goes down about 15-20 seconds after its put down in throttle... Could it need new oil??? It hasn't been changed since we got it from the previous owner, and he doesn't know when it was changed either...

Don't see a problem with what it is doing what I see is a good tight engine

If the oil is dirty, change it and the filter.

35 is good. But if no one knows when it was changed last...might be time. In my Minnesnowta location, I do minimum once a year for engines no matter the hours.

Many people that own an antique vehicle of whatever type think that it is taking good care of it to start it once a month and run it for 15 minutes. This is extreme severe duty, because the engine doesn't get hot enough for long enough to evaporate the moisture off. It is like the car that gets run for 15 minutes to work and 15 minutes home 5 days a week.

My Fords run hight oil pressure.....TOO! On changing the oil, do it now then you know what's what.
