Tire balancing beads or compound

Anyone try them? I have been changing my own tires but don't have a balancer. At 12 bucks a tire to balance I can buy a lot of beads. Compound looks like it could be messy.

My cousin put the beads in his pickup tires said they
were great except some times after just starting out
he would have to stop and try it again

We have heavy regional trucks hauling
80,000 to 140,000 pounds. Our tire dealer
started recommending them this year.
Pleased so far.

Don't get to any lube inside the tire . The beads will stick and they'll shake . Our tire shop went back to lead weight .

I have heard of just putting 3 golf balls in to balance them. I never tried it but where I bought my truck tires they claimed some of their guys would do it. Also said the inside was worn from the golf balls rolling around inside.

I've used both in my motorcycle tires, at different times. The beads work. So does the Rideon tire sealer and balancer.

I've come to prefer the Rideon sealer and balancer on my bikes, since it both balances and prevents most flats.

For a car or pickup, the beads will work fine.

We literally used 1000's of lbs of them. The beads worked better for us. They don't stick to any tire lube
you get inside the tire. Always put them in steer tires on local trucks, most of the over the road guys ran
them in every tire.

Thank you for all the posts. I think I will try some. I will mainly use them in pickup and trailer tires. The old semi doesn't move much.
