What make? Different companys used different colors. JD was Green, IHC was Red, JI Case was orange, other companys use different colors including 2 or more.

Peerless is the brand name, Geiser Manufacturing Company, Waynesboro PA. Made lots of equipment including steam traction engines. Lots of green, red, and yellow used on the steam engines. Someone probably has a catalog or reproduction catalog showing the colors. You could look at the Kinzers PA show August 15th through 18th.

A lot of times if you take a piece of metal off there will still be at least a trace of original color where the two pieces of metal met, and you already know the lettering was red.

Only thing is Kinzer doesn't have a press like that. There is one guy who built a 1/3 scale model that works but it is a different machine.

Nothing showing up on picture to tell me what it is. If there is anything there it does not show up on my computor.

This will not help much with the colors; but a reprint 1910 Geiser Manufacturing Company Inc catalog shows the hay press and says "born in 1908". On the side of the hay press is painted "Class B 17 X 22". Which I suppose means 17 by 22 inches.
A reprint 1905 Geiser Catalog shows steam traction engines, portable steam engines, stationary steam engines, portable and stationary gasoline engines, threshing machines, clover hullers, saw mills, steam plowing outfits, but no hay press.
It says (referring to a Peerless Separator) the following: "superbly painted in carmine and gold, is indeed a thing of beauty and a joy to behold".
"Carmine is the general term for some deep red colors that are very slightly purplish but are generally slightly closer to red than the color crimson is".
