It was nice and hot. 104 Sat. and 102 Sunday. Here are a few pics from the parade and the show. I broke out the BIG HAT for a little shade driving my NAA. My cousin is following me on my Massey. There was a lady on a Deere with the fringe on top. There was a good mix of colors. Lots of nearby community floats, officials, fire trucks etc. I included a couple for DCARP. The last is the President of our club playing the accordion with his band. Our club is the South Texas Wheel Spinners and Crank Twisters Antique Farm Equipment Club. New members always welcome.

I'm trying to remember his name. I left there more or less in '64 although my folks were there till '99. I started going back around 2003.

His name was Vaclav Steinocher. Doesn't get more Czech than that. Everyone back there called him Jimmy. Up here he went by Wes. Probably moved to Iowa in the 40's. Had brothers back in Texas though.

Thanks for the pictures John. That's the American Legion Post that I am a mamber of. One of my neighbors rode on the Vietnam Veterans float, said there were more red tractors than any other color. Your cousin looks happier driving your tractor than on his, maybe it's the paint. LOL
